Hey all, I need some clarification on this one. When first making a new character, and spending proficency points, I got a little confused.
1 Do you buy them on creation as usual, buying one, maybe buying another up from defaults? If you do it that way, and end up with some leftover proficiency points that you don't want to spend because you can't buy anything as good as your current defaults, what do you do with them?
2 Or, for a new prof, on char. creation only, do you add your leftover one or 2 points on top of a proficiency? Or after buying your first prof do you stack your other points on top of defaults you want?

If I understand you, option 2.
Priority A (14 pts) for profs.
8 to Cut and Thrust gives 5 default in longsword.
An additional 3 points in longsword gives a total of 8 in that prof.
leaving 3 points to be spent in a like manner.
