Mystic Ages Online is new and improved -- now with a nice MySQL database underneath everything to ease the automation -- Tell me what you think!

Thanks,

Very nice. I am a big proponent of having a good DB underlie your webspace. Lots of advantages which I'm sure you've already noticed. Good work.
Mike
Yeah, very nice!
You might go with a smaller font tho. Easier on the eyes.
Sean
For me, it's that specific color blue that's hard on the eyes.
Paul
The darn mySQL is SOOOO helpful. I was having issues with the old site -- keeping the older articles linked to somewhere accessible so I just gave up. Thatware is very easy to install too, so I really liked it.
And as for the blue... muhahahaha.. Eventually, I will reenable the THEMES mode, so if you don't like the blue, you can change it to putrid yellow or bitter green...
Hehe,
Nathan
Looking back at it that blue is a bit harsh. I agree with Paul. You might want to consider changing the default color.
Mike
For some reason, the site itself, and then all the articles and such on the site, take an inordinate amount of time to load; ten times as long as on almost any other website. That has not changed with the other improvements.
What speed is the conection that you're on, Ron? It seems all to load pretty quickly for me, but I have a cable modem which makes everything pretty fast.
Mike
PHP! PHP! Everyone chooses PHP and MySQL. Lotus Domino I say, everyone's site should be in Lotus Domino. Muwahahhahahahaha!
Sorry, got carried away.
Serious it looks great, in that PHP/MySQL sort of way that keeps plagueing the web these days. No, it'g great. I would reduce the font size though, it's like a site for the blind.
On a side issue, if your going PHP/MySQL check out http://www.swrpgnetwork.com - this is the PHP/MySQL site of sites.
Updating FLN as we speak with new fangled look, stylesheets and all the other gubbins - keeps getting delayed though - so I know how you feel.
It's good. Keep up the good work.
I program DBs for Lotus Notes professionally, and I have to say I love the ease with which I can get stuff on the web with it. If anyone does go that rout and needs a hand with Notes, let me know.
