I ordered Donjon as a pdf and paid via paypal... I'm waiting for either some kind of confirmation or instructions on downloading it or something....

so far, nothing. Where be my donjon? :(

Morfedel

Actually, if I'd known there would be a delay, I'd have used RPGNow instead.

My email address is cybermerlin2069@hotmail.com, if that will speed things up. Thanks.

I'm in the same boat - maybe they're busy.  I didn't realise it was available on RPGnow as well or I'd have gone there!

Morfedel

Hm.

If I don't get a reply soon, I'll contact my bank and request them to retroactive the payment. Then go to RPGNow.

However, since Anvilwerks is a one-man operation, perhaps I should try and be patient. At the same token, however, I'm getting rather irritated that there doesn't seem to be an automated system for orders; seriously, if there is a problem doing it from the Anvilwerks online store, perhaps you should just direct them to RPGNow, which has been 100% prompt and reliable from my previous experiences.

Sorry I'm being grumpy, but for a pdf product, it shouldn't be taking this long. I would like either my product, or a refund, in a timely fashion, considering the electronic nature of the product.

Does anyone know if the Anvilwerks people (Clinton R Nixon, right?) are incommunicado or something?

Christopher Weeks

I've been trying to get ahold of Clinton for a seperate issue for a couple weeks with no response.  I figure real life has him by the jugular or something.

Morfedel

that doesnt suck just a little, that sucks a lot.

I'm gonna have to contact my bank and request a refund of some sort, and reorder via RPGNow.

Morfedel

done; just ordered and got the pdf in about 3 minutes. but it meant I had to pay twice.

If clinton et al gets this soon, please give me a refund, else i'll talk to my bank and see if they can rescind one of the charges.

He was probably at Origins...just a guess.  =)

Morfedel

Origins?

Oopss.....

Well, damn, still, how was I to know? I mean, I would have assumed that most of it was automated and all....

Mike Holmes

I don't think he was at Origins...but I could be wrong.

According to his blog he was on a business trip. He has a lot of business trips, from what I understand. So, patience can be required. Clinton's not a big business with lots of employees. He's just himself, and he has a life outside of the Forge and Anvilwerks.

Yes, i had no idea about that; my bad.

However, I DO think there should be some form of automation to avoid such problems in the future.  RPGNow did this, so it probably would have behooved the RPG indie Bookshelf people to do something similar.

Just a suggestion. Sorry bout the rant. :)
