Kirt,

Not only is the Forge Bookshelf run by a buffoon, but it isn't actually used to sell games, only deliver them.

(In my opinion, this is a lot better - decide for yourself how you want to sell your game, and use the Bookshelf to deliver. I could be off my rocker, though.)

At the very least, it seems to me that this technique (as it's not really a company in the fullest sense of the word) is an example of a possible "competition" for RPGnow.com and DTRPG...

Also, consider you can distrubute PDFs via lulu.com as well. Right now, disregarding print-on-demand stuff and concentrating only on "downloads" (i.e. PDFs), there are only 20 RPGs and supplements on lulu.com, the majority of which are supplements for the Sui Juris RPG (which I hadn't heard of until I looked just now). Therefore it's underutilized for this purpose, but it's still technically a competitor to RPGnow.com...

At the very least, Phil should consider selling his PDFs through lulu.com (or a similar service) assuming that the rates are competitive to RPGnow.com. And lulu.com doesn't use DRM...
