Hey folks.  I'm looking for players in a new Lexicon game that I'm running at http://kumapageworks.org/wiki/index.php/WikiGames:Lighthouse

The setup:

You are all scholars from different and imaginary (or pseudo-imaginary) disciplines (i.e. rheopaleontology, the study of extinct electrical currents) whose scholarly pursuits have all led them to the tiny, relatively non-descript island of Grand Etienne, which lies on the edge of the Great Sunward Ocean. Currently, the island is uninhabited save for a single lighthouse run by an ancient, eccentric, possibly loony packrat named Etienne (the island is named for the man, who is notorious among the local population).

Etienne's lighthouse is packed to the rafters with flotsam and jetsam gleaned from the beaches, old homesteads, caves and the occassional mysterious ruin of Grand Etienne. Each player chooses a single item, for which they have travelled countless miles, to procure from Etienne. This item, the history and culture surrounding it, is the basis for your entries in the lexicon (it need not be your first entry in the lexicon, however). The item must be able to fit inside a cramped, cluttered lighthouse (in other words, be small and to the unaided eye, unremarkable). Through the history of this simple object will come the grand sweep of civilization surrounding Grand Etienne Island and the world on which it sits.

[Note: The genre of the setting would be best described as 'very low magic epic fantasy'. Magic does exist, but it takes a long time/lots of resources/years of training to perform these days. There was a lot more of it in years past, but whether there was as much as people think there was remains to be seen. Beasties and the like still roam the world, but are extremely rare. There are no other sentient races, save humans.]

The Deadline:

Monday, August 8th is the beginning of the first round.

The Catch:

It's scored.  THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE!
