Any Indie Developers Interested in a Group Table at a local convention?

There's a new convention starting up in my home town in June this year, and I believe they are still looking for stalls. It's called the UK Games Expo (www.ukgamesexpo.co.uk) and is literally 15 minutes from where I live. I'm thinking of borrowing a couple of display stands and renting a small table there, but it's not economically viable or worthwhile for me to do this simply for my own company, which is extremely small and almost non-profit-making in nature. Are there any other independent RPG developers out there who might be interested in sharing the cost and placing a few products on display?

It would be done under a neutral name, not my own company name, so everyone would be able to have their own details represented. Costs would depend on how many people were interested and how large a table was required. I believe a reasonably sized display would cost around £100 UK / $200 American between all participants, and I'd be hoping for at least three other companies to share the table and the costs with. Advertising posters and the like are something that can be discussed at a later date. I'd be offering my own services in looking after the stall freely, although any additional voluntary help would be greatly appreciated.

Anyone interested?

Ash,

The Collective Endeavour are planning to be there in some form. We're a group of like-minded small UK publishers who work together to promote our games in the UK (drop by our site to see more of what we're about). We haven't yet decided exactly what level of presence ours will be, but since I live local to the Con it' an easy option for me.

I'm sure we can help you out with some kind of combined effort that's mutually beneficial.

Ash, you should probably give a shout to Malcolm, Gregor, Iain, and the rest of the Contested Grounds crew up in Edinborough.

Welcome to The Forge!
the glyphpress's games are Shock: Social Science Fiction and Under the Bed.

I design books like Dogs in the Vineyard and The Mountain Witch.

I'm right on top of the 'con myself, which is why I thought of doing this in the first place. It would be rude of me to close down these topics right now and join up with you guys, but if I don't get much of a response and you do decide to have some kind of presence at the convention then I'd be happy to muck in and help out. Incidentally, do you have some more detailed information on Collective Endeavour? I checked the website but it was a bit brief. Depending on your manifesto (so to speak) and entry qualifications I might be interested in joining. You can drop me an email at eldritchdesign AT aol DOT com about it if you like to save derailing this thread unneccessarily

And Josh, thanks for the welcome! I'd contact the people you mention but since they all seem to be part of the Collective Endeavour (if I'm reading their website correctly anyway) I don't think there's much point ;)
