Ken Hite gives MLwM the nod.  And nobody is even slightly surprised. Congrats, Paul!

Read all about it here.

Thanks guys. I'm terrible at acceptance speeches. Thanks Ken. The problem with being indie is that you can't put anyone else up to the microphone for the acceptance...eep!

And if you're doing anything with your Acts of Evil ashcan license, of course I'm curious and would love to hear about your plans

Unique; in a class by itself. From the Latin, "of its own kind."

(Yeah, google helps me look smarter than I really am.)

Congrats, Paul. My Life With Master is indeed in a class of its own, and it's now inspiring my own designs.

Recently I was reflecting on the stroke of genius that is My Life with Master.

What I have created in Burning Wheel is simply a system to arbitrate, "I do this!"/"No you don't!"

What Paul has done is to actually create a legitimate game where you can win and lose, centered around the manifestation of roles and idioms.

It's playable, well-designed, beautiful to look at and agonizingly fun.

Well done, sir. You deserve all the praise you receive, and more.

Thanks Luke. I think you should be pretty proud of Burning Wheel's Outie yourself. The recognition, in my opinion, is very well deserved.
