Hi folks,

On the other end of the scale from sword myths, actual mythical swords, complete with magical powers and history!  Here's a couple of my favorites!

The Husband/Wife Sword

Ancient chinese legend about a husband and wife who forged the best weapons during the bronze age.  Their final set of swords were made of solid gold and both of them died in the process, their souls transferred into the pair of swords.  The swords were so sharp that it was said that you could dip them into water, and they come out dry!!!  The pair of swords was used by a local warlord, until he had established a lasting peace throughout his land, at which point he ordered all swords buried into the "Sword Lake".

The Blue Cloud Sword

Another chinese legend, this sword was wielded by one of the "4 Heavenly Kings", deities who served the Jade Emperor of Heaven.  With each swing, the Blue Cloud sword emitted black tornados, from which choking acid gas would spew forth and 10,000 spears to strike down armies.

Anyone else want to share mythological swords?
