I had my firstest ever con last weekend. It was also the first time I've had a chance to actually play in a year or so.

And yesterday I got my ADSL connection working. A month cold-turkey no-internet was not pleasant, but it's all so worth it now that I have speedy speedster net.

I am a happy, happy man.

I'm working on a game about a world where that fantastic feeling music can instill in you actually has a real, physical effect. So jazz musicians are powerful folk. Cool, powerful folk. More about that soon.

Oh, and I got to play Little Fears at the con. Whooooooo. I have got to get that game. So much fun. In fact, I would have found it enjoyable as a game simply playing children, quite devoid of the horror aspect. We went to the pool and then I dunked some kids under and then we ran across the railway tracks and then we played in the park and then I gave Mitch a tonka truck for his birthday and then we played spotlight in the park at night.

And then the freaky shit happened, and it was... Wow. I am impressed. It was set in 1983, so we spent a few minutes just remembering the good old days of our childhood, when you could go to the pool alone, and when merry-go-rounds weren't too dangerous for playgrounds, and there were those hills with concrete tunnels in them that always stank of urine.

Hi Tim,

More! More! What happened during play? How did it compare with some of the other folks' experiences with the game (check out the forum)? What do you think of the "To King or not to King" issue?

Best,
Ron
