A long time ago, I looked at the review of Ghost Light, and found it extremely intereasting. I was considerably distraught that it was no longer available.

I found the game on a geocities page:

So, does anyone know the story here? Both the geocities site and his other site seem to be abondoned for the most part, so I'm assuming he's not really intereasted in updating the game. Is this a really old version that he just forgot about or is it more recent than the one Ron reviewed?

Did the forge already know about this and aren't updating the links because the author doesn't want the game to be freely available?

I think those links are maintained by the author? So that's probably why it's not updated, as the author seems to have abandoned the site.

I've taken a copy and I'll put up a copy of Ghost Light in my Other Authors section of my site in the near future. I've sent an email to the author asking permission/forgiveness to do this.

Hiya,

I haven't talked with Doug for a couple of years now, but it's my impression from our discussions that he doesn't mind if we keep a copy of Ghost Light around for archival purposes.

My plan is to restore the link in the review to a copy in our server, and if Doug wants otherwise, he can let us know. Clinton, if that works for you, or if I'm missing something, let me know.

Best,
Ron

That's great by me. Someone needs to shoot me a copy of the game: I actually don't have one. Andrew, could you e-mail that to me?
