I think you may have mentioned before, but it's worth repeating that the site would have player networking and world-building tools, right?

I know that at least one game tried this model and flopped.  Of course that doesn't mean yours can't work, but with the plethora of "content portals" out there, it can be pretty difficult to set yourself apart, and you are already talking about a fairly small niche market.  Especially if your site doesn't offer any real advantages over other, free networking tools that players already have access to.  In fact, that would be, IMO, a good criterion:  it has to offer something email fundamentally doesn't.  That is a tall order.

But I am going on about hypotheticals.  What does your proposed site offer to the player?
