NPC Cost error?

1. NPC Point Costs
Is there a mistake in the costs of the three sample NPCs in the book? By my calculation, they should all be 1 point higher. I think the 1 point for buying an NPC might have been forgotten (I know its the most consistent error I make in designing critters).

Here's an Example.
  • Brass Serpent of Knossos: 1
  • Name to d8: 2 pts
  • Wrestle +2 levels: 2pts
  • Sword: +2 levels: 2 pts
  • Armour d8 = 2 pts
  • Fangs: +4 pts
  • Lunging Strike: +1 pts
  • Natural Weapons, Poison, Swift = 5-pts
  • Total: 19-points, but reported at 18.
(The costed out example of the Ion Boar is correct, and the three Minions seem to be correct, too.)

2. Non-combat Battles: NPC Armour
When you're in a non-combat Battle, you get to use an Ability for armour.
Do NPCs work the same way, or do they have to buy armour? (I assume the answer is they work the same way as PCs, but my assumptions are often wrong :) thus the question.)

3. Offense
If an NPC has Fiery Form and has bought extra dice in Offence, do those Offence dice apply to the 'attack' roll of Fiery Form?
Likewise for such powers as Gaze, Fear, and Hold.

By the way, I just thought of a cool use for Transform.
Transform to Dead: character must be rescued from Hades (by violence, stealth, or bargaining).
