hi everyone my names nick smith, i live in portland, Oregon and i think i have the basic concept for my new rpg Project: C.H.A.I.R. and would appreciate any feedback i could get.

the idea behind P.C. (project: C.H.A.I.R.) is that the whole world and game you play will be based on a word, the example im giving in my early writings is Chair and from the word chair the players will build a world of there own creation. everything is up to them, there is no list of classes or races that you can choose from because you will make it up, you build the world by saying "what is chair" and from that will spring the hardboiled cop game, or the school yard romance game, the hunt for chinese food game whatever your group wants thats what you play. i have an example that i think works well to show world progression:

Mark: what is Chair?
James: Chair is an evil organization that has taken over Earth
Henry: yeah, and they have some secret weapon that can destroy whole planets
Jesse: but there's a secret police who are revolting against them
James: yeah, and there all specially trained to fight there Chair robot army
Henry: and we are elite agents from the secret police
Mark: we all just found out that Chair is unleashing its secret weapon on Earth so we have to stop it!
So on so forth until they have a whole world for there word to be apart of

so thats the idea my, conflict resolution mechanics are still in very early stages but this is my basic idea...

if you could take like five minutes and give me a little feed back that would be great.thanks

Nick, tell us more. Having played the game with you I really think that sharing your fuill idea for the game, or  at least covering all it's parts, will give people a better understanding of what  you want tol do. The molre we know the more (and better) feedback we can give you.

Hi Nick,

Welcome! Since the game is already in the playtesting stage, I strongly suggest that you describe some of your playtesting experiences in that forum. It really helps others (and maybe you too) to explain how, when X happened in real play, that led you to consider or try out Y in the next round of rules design.

Best, Ron
