I'm not sure where I should post this, if at all but I thought, given the high concentration of Dying Earth fans here, that I should tell you that the first DE supplement, The Excellent Prismatic Spray, is now available as a pdf from http://www.dyingearth.com">Pelgrane Press.

If I transgress, delete me now!
I'm talking about netiquette, rather than the number of clauses I managed to stuff into that first sentence.

GBSteve,

Inasmuch as it would ill-reflect upon me to say as much, and as it is Tuesday, and after all, why bother? For tomorrow the sun may go out.

(I believe that would be "obfuscatory")

I'm as happy as anyone to see a supplement from Pelgrane - and you all must KNOW that I'm pleased to see it in PDF format, for reasons that have nothing to do with the virtues or faults of the medium - but on the other hand, I'm not sure whether The Dying Earth qualifies as a creator-owned game. Its topic is a license (not so important) and its rules-authors are all work-for-hire (very important), so I think it is NOT, although if someone knows more about the game and its ownership than I do, they should fill me in.

Best,
Ron

The Dying Earth rules were written by Robin Laws. There are earlier versions of the rules written, before Robin was brought in.

These can be found on http://www.endsofinvention.com/derpg/index.html"> this website.

These definitely qualify as home grown. There is one by me too, a modified version of which I've been using for other games.

But my earlier post was not really about this. It was to warn all the DE fans here of something that hasn't been well publised. There isn't a 'chat' forum here, probably with good reason, and so I guess you should delete my post.
