Boy, oh how many places has my direction with this one.  What started as an old D&D campaign, has turned into something that has little, or no relation to that old game.  (By the way, remind me to go back and make the game I intended to, originally).  This is more of a concept and application review than a full mechanical release.  Mostly, because I need to rewrite the die affects.  However, I imagine it could be playable.

So, without further toodoo, the first release of:

Saeculum Adstructum, Alpha version 0.20 (codename: "Oh, I made a PDF")
[edit]
Shoot, tripod won't allow direct downloads.  So, with a little further toodoo:

Please feel free to rip my work to shreds.

Not much to rip on. :-)

Many things seem to be left unstated. In resolution some player starts it, but it's not said how this is determined. Characters are created, but when and why? Any time, for any reason? What's the difference between a scene and a resolution? When do you use the resolution mechanics, and when do you just narrate (the example isn't really compelling).

It's fine if you want to leave these things open, and players will just come up with their own way of dealing with them. OTOH, this lack of direction means that there's not really much going on in terms of getting players to use the system. What do you expect is the attractive part?

Also, the resolution system seems a tad incestuous in that Traits avoid the system, but the system itself produces Traits. There's something funny going on there.
