Throwing knives while juggling

Hello,

At the weekend one of my players created an Enternatiner/Coutier character with the concept of a travelling entertainer.

He had a fairly good missile pool and wondered if his character would be able to juggle knives and then throw them from mid air.

I'm not sure how this would work under the misslie rules.  I would expect that  a juggleing roll but would need to be made but how would the pool refresh in time.

Any thought scomments?

Cheers,
Dan.

As far as refresh goes, how about requiring the same amount of refresh time, starting from dagger in hand, but just let him fill this time while juggling?

What about if a character, Bob say, was juggling 4 knives (not too difficult for a professional methinks).

If Bob then wanted to throw a knife, what if his missile pool could start refreshing in the usual way, but when he wanted to throw a knife he has to make a successful juggling test with dice allocated out of his MP  (like a terrain roll).  Maybe if he is juggleing more knives the TN will adjust appropriatly.  If he makes the roll he can throw with his remaining pool.  If he fails he misses the timing (MP drops to 0) and has to wait for his pool to refresh back up.  If he fumbles he drops the knife(ves?).  Once a knife has been thrown, if he wants to throw another he has to wait for the pool to build up in the usual way and the proces repeats.

Any ideas on this?

Cheers,
Dan.

His MP is going to be his Wit basically then.. if he throws it without cocking it back fully.. or even 1/2 of wit... depending on if you think the guy can hold it for a full second in his hand and aim for the whole second of the round while the other knives are in the air.. in other words.. the roll for the juggle before-hand represents the character throwing the rest of the knives in the air higher than normal to compensate. Then again I've only juggled once or twice in my lifetime.. but it's what jugglers do if they want to do say.. a backflip.. a spin.. or drink a glass of water..while juggling. Failure on the juggle roll just means that the trajectory of aforementioned higher thrown appartus/item was not nearly vertical.. thus the character can not move to get it, lest he drop the others.. whose current flight paths are fixed whilst they fall toward the ground.. fumbling, results in the trajectory being such that it comes down directly on the character.. but perhaps the character's attention/focus was directed toward something else.
