PDF publishing tips

Does anyone have any tips for PDF publishing.  Let me clarify a little though: i am thinking of publishing for the computer alone (i.e. print at your own risk).  Adobe can include JavaScript and Flash, which print cannot, so this medium seems espically interactive.  In terms of advice, i am looking for:

payment options (paypal, secure email, checks, mail, etc)
download options (from site, third pardy, snailmail CD)
security issues (for my site, as well as avoiding piracy)
degree of print-computer compatability (as i mentioned, i am thinking of including JavaScript and Flash, which cannot be printed.  Is this wise?)
personal horror stories or success stories

I will let you know when the release date is.  I know you are all just tintilated...
