All,

My companies products are software for helping gamemasters setup for and run their games no matter what system they use.   With that in mind Ill be creating a number of maps for anyone at the forge booth to use in demoing their games.

The maps will be about 24"x24" full color, laminated so they can be placed on the 3' demo tables.

Im planning to have an assortment available so people can choose a map appropriate to their game setting...  its a simple cross promotion... move visually appealing demos of your games, while increasing the visibility of my software.

Im planning to have a few basic maps...

Wooded Clearing
Generic Dungeon areas

but since many Indie games have creative settings, I was wondering if anyone had a request for a map they would like to have available?  A starship hanger bay?   narrow paths thru lava pits?  let me know and ill see what I can do about having a map at GENCON for your use.

Thanks,

Hi,

That sounds pretty cool.  I already worked up a map for my demo though.  Would you be able to recreate it if I sent it to you?

Everything about the game, from the mechanics, to the artwork, to the layout just screams creepy, creepy, creepy at me. I love it.

I have been looking for a modern type map for a small arms battle. I have been looking over at RPGNOW but have not found one yet.

The game I will be demoing uses a highly realistic engine to do modern combat with. Really any urban type setting would be good but would love to have some open spaces.

smokewolf,

What scale are you looking for?  I can create a city maps with roads, railways, buildings, parks etc pretty easily.  but printed on a 24x24 sheet it wouldnt be near 25mm scale.... so how tactical are you needing?

Alternatively I could create a map of a small area... say a couple block buildings in a wooded area with bushes.  Could print that at 25mm scale or so, and put a hex or square grid over it for movement.

See http://www.cartoforge.com/forum in the development updates area for some map view of both dungeon and city maps to give you an idea of what im talking about.

That sound perfect. Basically I am looking for a shootout map to demostrate how volitale combat is.

If you're still taking map requests, something along the lines of a medieval city block would be useful, preferably with a 1 meter hex grid.

Greg,

Ill see what I can put together...   Ive got a medieval arena,  and a outdoor modern/generic skirmish/mini map done so far.   Trying to fit as many in as I can between other convention prep tasks. ;-)

From what i gather, people mainly want mini scale maps for their demos, so thats what im concentrating on.  The arena uses a square grid, while the outdoor map has a hex overlay.
