TickTock Man

Greetings!

I am not if any of you have had the chance to read the graphic novel series Priest, but I will tell you it is unbelievably good and very Sorcerer.

Great artwork, and an engaging story, the entire thing looks like it could have been based on a Sorcerer game.  A thumbnail sketch of the Amazon site follows:

"The story follows Ivan Isaacs, who in life was a priest of God, but who has now been resurrected and given over his soul to the devil Belial, so that he may now use dark powers and silver bullets to defeat the evil fallen archangel Temozarela and his minions. Ivan Isaacs is a character tormented by his past, feeding him rage and the greater use of his dark powers. Set in the wild west the art also portrays a gothic edge that gives the setting a very dark and grim feeling to it. Although technically a manga, Priest uses a very different style of art to the more popular type of Japanese art. Ivan Isaacs' conflicts with his enemies are very action-packed and quite thrilling as he fights past hordes of demoniac zombies and struggles with the demons themselves."

It can be found on Amazon and in borders, or the usual comic store.
I think it is a greta story, and you may enjoy it too.  Check it out if you like.

You can find it on Tokyopop.com.

Hi Angelo,

Welcome!! I'm liking your thread topics. I really enjoy discussing the angel stuff in Sorcerer.

Have you read The Marquis, the comic by Guy Davis? I think it'd be right in line with your interests.

Best,
Ron

TickTock Man

I have not but I certainly will, since you mention it.

Thanks,

Angelo

Hi Angelo,

The current collections are The Marquis: Danse Macabre and The Marquis: Intermezzo. A third story is currently available only in comics form and I assume it will be collected soon. The full list of titles and other information, including sample artwork, is here.

I'll talk to my comics guy and rustle up some Priest to check out.

Best,
Ron

Good news!  You won't regret it.  If you want to borrow some copies first, let me know.  I work in Chicago and could lend some too you, too.  But they are worth picking up, whatever you do.

I will get on the Marquis, pronto.
