Very, very useful!  I was somewhat unsure that this would prove a useful exercise.  As was discussed above previously, and just reiterated, text compression is important.  While you do want to be careful that your text does not become too dense, you definately do not want your audience to have to wade through your prose to get to the point.

So, what else is there to look at?  Well, more analysis of the specific writing itself is always a good idea so if anyone has another perspective i would love to hear it.  Additionally it may be appropriate to discuss the "voice" of the prose.  Note that the intent here is for the rules to be accessable to anyone who plays semi-complex board games.  Check for jargon.

Another thing i would be interested in comments regarding is specific organization.  This takes a bit more time since it requires an understanding of what the text as a whole is trying to present (which in this case may not be entirely clear).  However, if you have specific comments about the order that ideas are presented in i would love to hear them.

So, i guess what i am really saying is "Rip it apart."  One of the reasons i put such a rough draft up for perusal is that very purpose.  What is wrong?  Where is it weak?  For the purposes of this discussion the more broadly applicable the analysis the more useful it is.  The above is a perfect example; no matter what subject you are writing about, text compression is a very important element to consider.
