Hi,

Due to unfortunate circumstances, my artist for The Mountain Witch can no longer continue working on the project. So, I need to find someone who can do the interior artwork for me.

I need 12 quarter-page illustrations (final print size around 5x4). Most of the pieces will be character illustrations of samurai, though a few of them will need to be landscape/outdoor-type pictures. Emotional intensity is important to me, so good facial expressions are a must. Also, because the characters are samurai, the artist needs to be comfortable working with flowing clothing.

I was thinking b&w line art. I would prefer a "comic book"-y look, but might be open to other styles.

For some of the illustrations, I have specific images that need to be drawn. For some, I have general ideas but would be open to input from the artist. For others, the specific image would largely be left to the artist's imagination.

Thank-you for your time! If interested, feel free to email me at timfire2@yahoo.com. I would also appreciate any recommendations people have.

You should post this on the RPG.net Freelancer's board.  (Link is http://forum.rpg.net/forumdisplay.php?f=12

But if you need any layout help, don't hesitate to let me know.

I passed your info on to a couple of great artists that I know...hopefully one of them will get ahold of you.

Not exactly comic book style, but I would recommend tthe Hungarian artist Peter Balla.

Here is some of his work, including this colour samurai fighting scene

 and this BW post-duel samurai.http://art.rpg.hu/details.php?image_id=1046

For facial expressions, his goblin-series speaks for itself.

(But if you have time, feel free to check other artist at that homepage ;))

I wanted to thank everyone that inquiried about the project, I was encouraged by the number of people that seemed to honestly want to help me out.

I am pleased to say that W Don Flores  ("WDFlores") will be taking over art duties for The Mountain Witch.

Thanks again everyone!
