I just rewatched Ghost in the Shell for about the 4th time... and with Donjon still on my mind...

With some genera convention rules and less satirical elements, the core conceptuals and mechanics of Donjon would make a great universal anime system.

Use the words for magic idea, and extand it to powers... for a primary trait, you get three powers, for a lesser one... take a Drawback, and get an extra one.

So...

Full Body Cyborg (Superleap, Supersrong, Supertough, supervision (D) Requires Repairs*)
Shoot Big Guns
Shoot Little Guns
Brain Interface
Combat Tactics

* Repairs require saves vs Wealth less the costs reduce Wealth.

or

Sec9 Special Operative
Cyborg Enhancements (Superreflexes)
Shoot Little Guns
Brain Interface
Investigation

Valamir

Great ideas.

BTW:  is a Supersrong some kind of special protective garment from India?  ;-)

DK Anime robots... very interesting.
Since they're so powerful, they'll need to have some of these limitations/features:
-"Must perform periodic monologues on the nature of humanity and -identity."
-"Looks like a child."
-"Is intensely attracted to a particular human despite physiological incompatibility."
-"Is very heavy."  (All robots should be.)
Of course, the tone of the game is up to the players.

Ok a quick n dirty power scale for the mocro-system above:

Three power levels:

Super-  more powerful than humanly possible
Hyper- Extreme inhuman power
Mega- Upper comic-book level power

As in:  Superstrong, Hyperstrong, Megastrong

Powers usualy have a counter-power which reduces it's level one-to-one.

If a Hyperstrong guy slugs a Hypertough guy, they roll dice normaly with no modification.  If he instead hammers a Supertough guy, his Hyperstrong is reduced to Superstrong.

Powers which modify normal attributes or skills magnify the base-detials won when using them.  Also, they multiply victories (Super x2, Hyper x5, Mega x10).

Also, there are actual Powers.  These all start with dice equal to the trait which the powers were derived from.  Stuff like Blast, Fly, Teleport.  You know.  Powers.  These can be made made Super-, Hyper-, or Mega- for extra womp-ass.

So...

For an DBZ-style martial artist:

Chi Mastery (Hyperblast, Hyperstrong, hypertough, hyperfly (D) Must Power Up to use Hyper level powers)
Unarmed Fighting
Grimacing and Posturing
Screaming
Nice but Dim
