I'd like to ask people to look at and comment on the shared world rpg setting Gwenthia.
This is being developed under a CC licence and you might look at the wiki:
http://www.gwenthia.org/
or the pdf that was distributed at the recent German Tentacles convention:
http://ftp://ftp.gwenthia.org/Tentacles%20Presentation/Gwenthia.pdf
I have to admit that we a systemless development group, but I am also interested in the creative folk here at the Forge making constructive criticisms!
Thanks..

Dunno, seems rather pointless rpg-wise.
... I mean, how am I supposed to use something like that? As far as my rpg experience is concerned, that stuff is so far out that I see no connection at all. On a theoretical level I realize that it's supposed to be setting material for a GM-plotted simulationist endeavour, but even for that... lots, lots of pointless stuff, and no structural overview at all.
This based on a quick skimming of the wiki. And my evaluation has nothing whatsoever to do with the quality of the material, just my perplexion about using it for roleplaying. Might be that it's perfectly good for something else.
So, would you care to answer some questions? For starters:
- What kind of roleplaying do you envision for the setting? How is it supposed to be applied?
- What are the thematic points of the setting? Is there any? Any other higher-order structure, or is it all just a random jumble?
- What kind of feedback,
specifically
, would you like on Gwenthia?
This discussion might prove very interesting, depending on the answers to those questions.
