[Saint Sever] heroic-tragic conflict resolution

I like that idea ... the further you drag out a character the more his death can mean. The thing with tragedy and heroism tokens is ... tragedy tokens would be the equivalent of failures the GM (or potentially other players - won't go into this option right now) can spend against the character ... while heroic tokens are successes the character has going for him. Essentially, allowing a larger stake.

(ok - I'm rambling here and tossing ideas about a bit - don't take too seriously)

Hmm, hmm ... the more a character stakes, the more the character may achieve ... and the character's stakes may involve both heroic tokens and personal stakes (incl. life) ... so at a certain point (more heroic tokens) ... a character may be able to risk higher personal stakes. Perhaps the size of personal stakes could be limited by the number of heroic stakes ... need to grapple with this a bit more.
