Charnel Gods--What's Love Got to Do with It?

Well, we started our Charnel Gods game (
http://www.indie-rpgs.com/forum/index.php?topic=16866.0
) down one player. Who knows where A. was, but he did have Grand Final tickets for the night before so I suspect a hangover.
I was pretty happy with it for a first proper effort. We opened with a nice bit of vicious Fell Weapon combat that was over almost before it started, screenmonkey (Khoraj Janeel) having got himself 12 dice through judicious roleplaying (you'd love the credo if I could remember it). We took it slow while I explained things like how to get bonuses. The scene also introduced a couple of NPCs--a contact among the slaves and (from a distance) the infamous Commander Lurr. A later scene established that Lurr is the very man who destroyed KJ's village and slew his family many years ago.
Rich (Sorum) decided that he needed an ancient Beast to ride if he was to go in search of his lost love. Starting from a Humanity of 4, in two hours, through callous actions, human sacrifice and Pacting with a Beast, he managed to run it down to 1 (one). He does have a cool riding critter, but will he run out of Humanity before e'er he sees his true love again?
"What happens when Humanity goes to 0?"
"The world ends..."
I wasn't sure if I had enough material, but as it was I've got enough for quite a few sessions to go. Perhaps more than the life of the Epoch... Roll on Armageddon!

Let's hear it for Commander Lurr! I want to hear more (but I'm selfish that way).
I know what you're saying about the "enough material" thing. My experience with Sorcerer is that once it gets rolling it takes on a life of its own, and it's all the GM can do to keep up. I always feel exhausted after running it, but in a good way.
I love the callous disregard for Humanity you describe. And the best part about bottoming out is that play continues until kickers are resolved (unless everyone decides otherwise) so player satisfaction is never sacrified.

Between the players' Kickers, my list of Bangs, the relationship map and the demons, I am replete with choice. I jus' try to follow instructions, boss. I'm hoping they'll weigh in here at some time, so I won't talk too much about the specifics.
Lurr, as you have no doubt heard, is a hardarse and wields the sword Trinfendel. He is said to be very close to the Emperor's niece Livina. Khoraj Janeel is sweating.
