I'm of the opinion that a lawyer needs a litigation-based ability, at least if s/he's practicing in America.  But mostly I'm just happy that this thread didn't die!

I was quite partial to the boy my PCs were out to rescue:

Demon Messiah
The Powers of Darkness (magic)
Be creepy as hell
Exert hellish mastery
Corrupt
Speak with forked tongue
Magic Words: demon, spawn, hellfire, pain, flay, fear

...who was surrounded by his small horde of:

Little Orphan Minion

Obey the will of the Dark Lord
Flail wildly
Painful reminder of innocence lost
Be vulnerable
Please, sir, may I have some more?

One player really didn't enjoy me using their Be vulnerable ability to cause their own deaths protecting their master.

Winning gives birth to hostility.
Losing, one lies down in pain.
The calmed lie down with ease,
having set winning & losing aside.
