Hey everyone.  I am ripping off the Gotham Gaming Guild idea and trying to plant it in central NJ, the home of the marvelous Double Exposure conventions Dreamation and DexCon.  If you are interested in helping to plan and organize this undertaking, or just would like to participate and want to get in on the ground floor of chatter, check out the new web forum that Mike from http://planetofthegeeks.com/ let me colonize at http://gaming.planetofthegeeks.com/index.php

Here's the the "what the heck is this?" post that I put on the board for those who don't know what I'm talking about:

So maybe you just stumbled across this board and are wondering "what the hell is this?"

Jersey Gaming Guild is a blatant ripoff homage to the Gotham Gaming Guild, a neat project begun by the neater folks at NerdNYC.com.

The general idea is to have a bi-weekly season of gaming on alternating Saturday nights in central NJ.  These seasons will be 6 sessions long and will consist of 75% ongoing games and 25% one-shot gaming.

At this point things are very gestational so we don't know exactly where we will hold it or what (minimal, solely to defray costs) amount we will be charging, but if you'd like to get in on the ground-floor of planning, or are just interested and want to chat about the idea or about gaming in NJ, we'd love to hear from you.

It sounds promising. Regretably, I am so far south I have to drive an hour north to reach South Jersey. Central Jersey is off the radar for me, I'm afraid.

That's a shame.  Still, maybe you can come if we do a recess-like event (a one-day minicon between seasons).
