Just wanted to say thank you to everyone on The Forge for getting involved in the judge selection process for the 2007 ENnies.
I'm working hard to make the Awards more inclusive of all RPG-ers, and Indie participation is important.  Many people here publish their own games, so cannot be judges, but I thank you for taking the time to ask questions of the candidates, and hope you will continue your involvement by casting your vote for the judges, submitting product, and voting for the winning games.

Voting begins tomorrow  to determine the judges for the seventh annual Gen Con EN World RPG Awards. Nineteen hopeful Judges have been nominated from gaming sites around the world, and are vying for your votes to fill the roster of judges who evaluate the hundreds of products submitted each year. Voting on the judges runs from Monday February 12 to Sunday February 18, 2007.

For those interested in voting mechanics, the judges are going to be selected by secret ballot (through www.ennieawards.com/voting.html) using the Single Transferrable Vote method.  This reduces the chances of min/maxing voting and eliminates "wasted" votes.  It also tends to reduce the advantage of incumbency.  By the way, only three past judges have sought nominations this year, so there will be at least two new faces on the panel!

Short biographies of the judges are on the ENnie awards website, along with links to Q&A sessions with the various judges on a variety of topics (including The Forge's discussions). This is your chance to determine the make-up of the board of judges for the awards.

For more information about the ENnie Awards, visit the website at www.ennieawards.com

Thanks again, everyone- and don't forget to submit your product (starting February 26th)
An ENnie vote has as much meaning as a dollar bill - that is, it's worth what you choose to value it at. -clash
