OK, a simple little question.  As I understand it, young men are sent off to visit other towns as both part of their 'education' and to court women and choose a wife.  But when the young couple does get married, they'll likely need help to get themselves established.  That help will probably come from their parents.  But which set?  Would the young couple be more likely to set up their homestead in his town or hers?  Or, is there no set precedent for this and they'll go wherever?

I think the idea is that the husband will have been working and saving, so that's what he brings to the marriage. The wife has her family and support nearby, so that's what she brings.

If you like some other arrangement better, naturally you should go with yours.

Thanks.  That makes sense.

Of course, my Faithful seem to get hitched a lot to people in the same town, which kinda drags two whole families in the messes that the Dogs keep coming across.
