I was just wondering if anyone here is into or has ever been into wrestling or wrestling games? The reason I ask is because I have an idea for a wrestling game. But the thing of it is I don't think I would be able to use the wrestlers names and likeness... Anyway this is a website I made. If you read through it you should be able to get the gist of the game.

http://www.freewebs.com/cyfwrestling/index.htm

I came up with the idea while play smackdown vs raw 06. I know thq will not pick it up and that i can't use wwe wcw or ecw logos or chars. But it is just a basic idea.

Hi there,

I'm a little bit confused by the site ... is the game a table-top, speaking, face-to-face role-playing game? Or is it played using a computer or Playstation or something like that?

If you're interested in non-computer role-playing games about pro wrestling, both in and out of the ring, then you definitely should check out Kayfabe. I think it's a wonderful game that doesn't get the kind of attention and play it deserves.

That doesn't mean you shouldn't work on yours! But it's always good to see what others have done, starting from similar interests.

Well, that's the thing ... the Forge is a site for speaking, face-to-face role-playing games. We can tell you lots about dice and lots about creating effective situations, but not much about the computer stuff.

Unless you can tie your design questions to this kind of role-playing, then this site isn't going to help much.

So this site is for board games? Cool. I would like to try and create my own board game.

No it's not for boardgames either. It's pretty specifically for tabletop roleplaying games. If you wanted to create a roleplaying game based on the careers of professional wrestlers, we might be able to help but if you're making a pure board game this is the wrong forum.
