How does this work? Is there some sort of sign up process, or a nearby gladiatorial pit where potential players fight for their right to sit at the table?

On the 14th (at least by then), Vinny will put up the master schedule, and you email him what games you'd like to get in.

You can also sign up on paper in person but some great slots wind up being taken if you wait.

Hey, just wanted to give a shout-out and let people know that I won't be able to make Dreamation because, frankly, the travel costs getting to an from DexCon last year sort of made it prohibitive as far as a marketing/selling opportunity.
HOWEVER, since I expect to have anywhere from 2-4 additional products to show off from Green Fairy Games and practice the talking-up thereof, I will definitely be at DexCon again this year as a prep-run for GenCon.
