We need art and text for Of Beasts and Men. Email your entries in the format used in other threads here to
norwood@theriddleofsteel.com
. Please include your real name with any submissions, and your computer name if it's different so that I know who you are. Send art at 100dpi attachments in jpeg or similar format.
Payment is like this: 3 submisisons or less: free book
4-7 submissions-2 free copies
8+ free copy and a T-shirt
10 submissions--we'll actually pay you. When you submit that many we'll talk with you privately.
A submission counts as a piece of art that is at least 1/4 page size, or a full monster entry, a page or 2 of "mini" entries. Only accepted submissions are counted towards payment, etc. We will not accept everything, but we are feeling pretty nice. I need this stuff by the end of the week (monsters and characters, that is); art assignments will start going out sometime early next month. I still want to see samples.

Um... What do you mean with "mini" entries?

Do I only have to write one (accepted) submission to get a free book?

Mini entries mean stats but no fiction and only some extra detailed info.
Yeah, that's what it means. One accepted entry gets you a copy of the book, assuming I really like it. More is better.

Hmmm, one can get a t-shirt.
Have you decided on the motive yet?

I wanted to make them for Origins, but I didn't pull it off. I'll have them right after, though.
As for motif...probably the knot with the hand and the sword or something. I've got a few designs.

I think the butler did it, and it was because he was sick of getting up at 4am to make breakfast for the household.
Or did you mean motif? ;-)
Brian.

Right now I want to rant about besserwissers, lost dictionaries, laziness, about low forms of satire and irony, annoying smileys and stupid questions.
But I'll just say...Yeah, I meant motif. :-)

What's the status on this project, Jake? Did it close after the one week limit, or are you still accepting submissions?

We'll look at anything, but we need to see it very soon--like this weekend. Acceptances will be made known later.
