Okay kewl. Could you give an example of an 'unknown' task?

I understand that most actions and challenges will have their various difficulties mapped out in the rules, but could you give me a situation where the spectators would have to intervene? Would this be, say, when something unexpected has happened that has made the standard challenge more difficult, and the group suddenly has to decide how difficult, with limited help from the existing rules (ie they need to improvise on the spot)?

I think the example I gave a while back is good: jumping from the roof of a building and grabbing a fire-escape ladder. Or maybe: running from the police with a blown-out tire. Or: picking a lock (locks are going to be different difficulties). I can't just babysit the players, that's the thing. There's only a limited amount of difficulty suggestions I'm willing to put in, and they're all pretty standard.
