SOTC: dodging bullets?
«
on:
August 07, 2008, 05:45:18 AM »
Hi again!
A situation came up in our session, yesterday night:
As written,
without
a Stunt, can an Athletics roll dodge a bullet in SOTC?
Thanks

Athletics can dodge a man trying to aim a gun to shoot you. It's not a question of dodging bullets (though I'd allow it in my game -- there's nothing saying you can't); it's a question of not being where the guy's shooting.

Hello:
So, "Dodging a Guns attack" means, "getting out of the way (to cover, if it's available)". This isn't "Wanted" or a HK Action movie... nominally -- bullets flying but the heroes are crouching, ducking behind walls, etc.
Thanks

Honestly, that's a genre decision made on a case by case basis for one's own game. Not a system decision, nor a product decision. Folks can play it however they like.
