Suralyom Game Systems prereleases the Rulebook 1 version today. SGS does not pretend to re-invent the RPGs or games in general, to the contrary we research for a whole year and identify the most common elements on all games and we based the SGS rules on them. Thats why we do not consider SGS as a game, our systems was created more like a rule-platform that people can use to create their own games. Those games will have very different game play styles but will share the same basic units providing a shorter learning curve.

One example of such flexibility is the new game we are planning. It is a board game that can be a sort of Monopoly-Risk hybrid. Any player that knows the rules for our RPG Worlds of Suralyom or the card-strategy Suralyom Arena will be able an expert on this new game within 5 minutes.

We invite all indie designers and gamers to take a look on the book and provide their feedback. SGS is released under Creative Commons non derivatives non commercial unported license, you can share the book as it is as much as you like. You can create your own SGS based games for free you just check the information in the license section of the book for more details.

A prerelease of the final SGS 1 version has been uploaded to our site. You can find the new book at this location: SGS Rulebook. This version is on Style check meaning a few typos can still be found, some small details may be missed, i.e. tables.
A PDF version will be released by October 2008, or before that is we got the final version ready.
