Hi
I haven't actually read the Buffy system yet, but I am aware that it divides player characters into 'whitehats' and 'heroes' to try and emulate the difference between story-important but supernaturally/skillfully weak characters and heroic/powerful characters in the show.
Might be worth a look at...
