they tend to be a bit...vague on some things... i hope im not rehashing old info, but i searcged and didnt find a definate answer... so maybe im just over looking something in the book

when you put points into the sculpture vagery (or any other, just using it as an example), do you have that corresponding level in the effects?... or do you have to buy effects as well?

i have a player who made a character (we were doing a test run of the creation rules), who upon getting to the sorcery section was kind of confused, i let her have the points in the vageries, and have them correspond to the effects... however i dont know if that was correct...

so say she had 3 levels in sculpture, would she thus have all 3 levels in all 3 of the effects under it?

or what..help?!

You did it right. 3 Points in a vagary gives you everything in that vagary. 2 points gives you everything at level 2, and so on.

cool, i was hoping i did, it would be an incredible waste of points to have to sepdn them on effects as well.... but the book was terribly vague on it..

i think thats really all i need to know...i'll post more in other threads if something pops up.......oh... though while oim on about possible misunderstood system stuff.. the sample character lists numbers on the hit location section... am i correct in thinking that those numbers are the AV of the location?... and that armor value basically... soaks... err sucks up that amount of damage?

if not please explain more in depth, or even if so..hehe, thanks

Yeah, that's right. From memory that sample character is wearing chain (av4) most places, with an av6 breastplate, or something like that.

AV (along with TO) deducts directly one-for-one from the attackers successes + ST. The result (if positive) is the level of wound taken.

i had a feeling that was what it was..i mainly play those "dreaded" storyteller systems (right now Adventure!).. however i do alot of different kinds of systems, from Rune RPG, to Witchcraft...

so before i get fully started, i always try and make sure everything is good to go
