Universalis Enters Second Printing!!

Ramshead Publishing is pleased to announce that the first print run of Universalis: the game of unlimited stories has sold out.

Universalis's popularity has exceeded our expectations. When we debued the game at GenCon2002 we had no idea that we'd be sold out in only 4 months (if we had we'd have made sure not to run out of stock during the holiday season).

We've already made arrangements for a second print run. The second printing will be identical to the first with the exception of correcting some of the typos and other basic errors we've discovered that slipped through the first time.

We expect to have additional stock in 3-6 weeks.

In the meantime we are offering a special deal

For anyone who preorders during this period we'll knock $2 off shipping for all orders.

This offer will end when the new copies are in our hands.

You can learn more about Universalis and place your order direct from Ramshead at our website http://universalis.actionroll.com

If you haven't heard about our game please check out the following reviews:

We'd like to take this opportunity to thank all of the players and fans of Universalis who made the game such a success to date, and give advance thanks to all of those who'll help continue its success in the future.

Just an update.  I've just approved the proof from the printer today, so we're one step closer to being back in stock.  I managed to find a really great printer with very reasonable rates, so we upgraded the cover to a full gloss laminate rather than the basic coated stock from the first printing.  I must say, it does look quite sharp.

Several folks have already taken advantage of our special offer, so thanks to them.  Just a reminder that that offer will end the minute I receive the shipment of books so be sure not to wait too long.

Also Ramshead will be closed (more or less continuously) for the holidays from 12/22 to 1/6 (the automated Paypal link will still accept orders, however.)

Thanks

Ralph.

Current news from the printer targets Friday 1/10 as the day the print job for Universalis will be completed.

I want to take the time to thank everyone whose placed a pre-order for the book, I'll have a busy day or two getting those orders filled.

Remember, the special shipping discount will last only until I have the product in my hands, so if you've been considering ordering a copy you can save a couple of bucks by getting it in early.

Thanks

Ralph

Universalis Update

The new books were printed today (1/15) and are being bound tomorrow.  They should ship on Friday, which means fulfillment of the current orders should begin early to mid next week (about a week later then they estimated, but not too bad).

So that means time is running out for the preorder special offer.  Order soon to save $2 off shipping costs.

The second printing of Universalis: The Game of Unlimited Stories is now available.

The second printing fixes a few typos, clarifies a couple of passages and sports a glossy fully laminated cover. In all other aspects it is identical to the original.

Many thanks to those who pre-ordered the second printing while we were out of stock. I expect to have all orders shipped by Friday.

Doggone it Ralph! Last time you said that form and content would be identical to the first edition, just with some fixed typos. If you'd let me know about the glossy cover etc. I'd probably have sprung for a second copy!

Well I found such a good printing rate that for a few cents more I could go with the laminate and it was still cheaper than most of the others.

Having looked through the books they are definitely as good a quality as the ones we paid nearly 5 times more for.  I'm very pleased with these guys.

The glossy cover does look very sharp Nathan, and the color is truer.  I think you should go ahead and pick up another copy anyway ;-).
