Yeah, no kidding. "Tolkien says" is almost as thread-ending as the H-guy's name.

Gee, I apologize. It appeared to me that Shreyas (did I spell it right?) was particularly citing Tolkien for his elves. That's a specific reference, one a lot of people make, that isn't supported by the text. Obviously, Rowling's elves are entirely different, and there are probably a lot of other definitions and designs of elves out there. I don't care how tall elves really are; they're unreal.
