And guess what - just for the heck of it - we are going to updates on Fridays. Actually, this should be easier on all involved.

Anyway... I am still sickened by the whole toe lint issue.

What's wrong with the toe lint issue?  I mean, it's a very viable (sp?) issue.  I am notorious for putting my feet up at a gaming table.  And when you wear socks, well, toe lint forms.  The snack thing MAY have been a little overboard, but hey, you can't really argue with it.

At least I didn't say anything about accidental footsie at the gaming table.  How many times have you accidentally rubbed feet with others when gaming?  It's really embarassing when it happens between you and another player who you are flirting with in game.  Eek.

Okay, so you have a point, in a strange way.

In fact, tonight we gamed -- and one of the players got up in the middle of things and went to the bathroom and vomited. What was up with that?

Also, what about gaming with your girlfriend? Tonight, my girlfriend would continually lean over and whisper suggestive things in my ear. Not very inducive to a good gaming experience, I must say. Still, she is turning out to be a pretty good gamer -- which is important in an odd way.

Well... toe lint.. still, keep the feet socked.

Thanks,
Nathan

Well, most top most emberrassing gaming moment (which is where this thread seems to be heading) was when a gamer pissed on the chair.

He was in his twenties. Just thought I'd drop that one in

In reply to Nathan's second post:
I just don't feel comfortable running a game with my girlfriend.  First, I like to tell her about the stuff I'm setting the group against.  I kinda run it by her to see if she thinks its corny or cool.  If I run her, I lose that.  And there's always the favoritism issue.

I never said that I wouldn't GAME with her.  Far from it.  I'd love to get her into my group.  Unfortunately, the group is too big as it is, I think.  It's also a little on the sexist side, I think.  Maybe sexist is a little strong, but there are some unhappy relationships involved.  Luckily, I'm not in one of them.

PS.  The peeing thing is pretty bad.

Nathan

The peeing thing is pretty darn bad.

I have no idea what is up with that. Freaks me out. Was it a medical condition, or were you outside or something? Was the guy at least drunk?

As Per Girlfriends:
Heck, favoritism is cool.

My girlfriend is actually learning well -- I have her slated to DM a game soon. Although, she has gotten pissed off at me because I don't pay enough attention to her in the game. Of course, that happened because I had a couple of players who hogged the time - the type of anal rentative punks who like to point out the differences between each gun type and the fact they were built with certain parts that could be used in the consruction of a nuclear bomb.

Sucks to have those type of players.

Honestly, I ignore those players.  I don't like having them around, either.  So, if I refuse to give them the lion's share of attention, they get pissed and quit.  A victory for the entire group.

I guess I'm a little cruel.

Never figured it out - but we'd gamed together for quite a while before then and no issue of a 'medical problem' had been raised.

It was the very first time he'd gamed out my house (well my parents) - so the logical thing to assume is he was just trying to hold it.

As I said, never figured out, and it sort of never got mentioned.

Peeing in a chair is bad. I would hearken back to my Strengthening the Herd article about showing people where the bathroom is. Always a kind thing - but still, gamers can be quite shy.

Warning: DO NOT READ ON IF YOU ARE EATING.

I heard another story on the CGG list - a kid was DMing his first game and evidently he vomited on the DM's book.... but he pressed on, despite the fact that the DM guide's pages were sticky and reeked. I shudder over and over at the thought of that. Still, I give him a badge of courage for pressing on - he has some guts.

And finally, has anyone ever heard anything gross happen in game which made you just feel violated and spiteful? I was playing w/ my friends under the sadistic DM in the group (ever group has a sadistic player) -- and the adventure was nothing but sexual torture in an odd setting (Planescape, etc.). It all turned up pointless -- but our characters just kept getting "manhandled" over and over. We still mention those experiences w/ dread. (Sort of a not what to do as a DM/GM).

Thanks,
Nathan

Sadly yes - though it was during my early teens and it was always the same two people who we got rid of eventually. They would rape female NPC's and all the usual shit. It seems worse now looking bad than it did at the time.

They seemed to delight in doing it in Star Trek games for some reason.
