Seraphim guard has signed tghe contracts with writer Anthony Ford to produce a new mecha RPG system called
MechSpace
.
This will be a complete, original, D6-only mecha RPG system that includes both character ane mecha creation rules and a sample campaign setting. If this works out, future supplements will be forthcoming and perhaps even some other projects will be ported over to this system.
The auhtor swears he will have the
MechSpace
mansucript in my hands by July 1. If he doesn't, I plan to put scorpions in his bed....

Hi all, this is Anthony Ford.
btw, the title is
MechScape
, so don't yell at your search engines just yet. The book is coming along swimingly, and the first testing session of the setting will comence in only a few days. The manuscipt will be ready well before the deadline, and all is right with the world.
The system is 4 years in the making, and i am very proud of all the progress it has made. Once the book is released, please play my game. There, the shameless plug has ended, you can stop hiding now.

And there is nothing like writers to make publishers feel like idiots. The Yahoogroup still says mechSPACE, though,a d I'm not sure if or how I can change that.

Simple. Destroy the mechSPACE group. Create a new group called "MechScape". :) YahooGroups doesn't mind, and with no messages, you haven't lost anything except a little bit of time. Remember to copy the description first:
This is a discussion, playtest and fan support group dedicated to Seraphim guard's new anime mecha roleplaying game MechSpace. Players and GMs can post their mecha designs, discuss the ins and outs of the game, and share their game accounts. This is also where Seraphim Guard will announce the release of new support material for the game.

Hi folks,
Any details about this? I've been looking forward to some new mecha action, and if it don't come soon, I'll have to start designing my own!

And because I'm so enthusiastic, I've created the Yahoo Group all ready:

Actually, Yahoo lets you rename a group and then notify all members of the change. Too late now, though.

I've now made Michael the owner of the list and myself a moderator. Once the author joins, I'll make him a moderator and reduce myself to mere member.

I have the frist part of the mansucript already (the guy;s been working on it for four years, so naturally he was ready when it came time to publish). I requested a setting from him, so that is the main remaining delay.
I have not set a release date because a lot will depend on when the art comes in. My current choice for lead artist says he needsa month to illustrate just what he;s got. He's very good, so I'm sure it will be worth the time.
The author has said he plans toi playtest his new adventure this week. It will be very interesting to hear the results....

Yo-
The playtest of the initial module, "Factory Recall" went off without a hitch! My star veteran player, a player from first edition, and two new players had a great time playing. Fueled by Sobe Addrenaline Rush soft drinks, we ran the module in 6 short hours (that includes the caffeine induced random player duels and hillarity). All that is left is to wrap up what i've written on the setting into a cute little package. Any questions, forum goers, just let me know.

And now the Word of Wisdom becomes so much clearer to me... 8^)
Can't wait to see the final setting results. After that, it'll be the art that mainly is the deciding factor in production schedules.

Update to setting progress

Yo-
Setting writing is progressing smoothly, finished the constitution for the government structure in space (After writing it, I can see why there were a lot of people at the Constitutional Convention). Touching up the module, all is going well. Did some work on the Yahoo Group as well, added a photo, quick refernce chart, and a poll. Come vote, and tell me what your 'mecha combat style' is!!!
