I have just completed 7 new lifepaths appropriate for a Feudal setting. They were designed using Luke's excellent Lifepath Creation guidelines. I'd love to hear any comments anyone might have. You can view the post here

Much coolness! I've played Harn and C&S in the past, and I was wondering where the damn yeomen were! I'll be putting these into my campaign as new lifepaths ASAP. Why did you include the Village idiot though, I don't see why anyone would every take him?

Glad to see someone else likes them ;-)
Many lifepaths in BW are not optimized for PC development. GM's burning up NPCs may very well wish to select Village Idiot, and you'd be suprised, I can think of it least one player in my campaign that would have fun with it. The LP's were created using Luke Crane's Lifepath generation guidelines, over on the main BW website.
I have a few more in the works, I think I'll hold off on posting them though until after Luke gets a chance to put these over on the site, I don't want to overload him ;-)

why would any one want to take Galley Slave, Ratcatcher, or Beggar? Yet these are very popular lifepath choices.
The full panopoly of life is available to you through the lifepath system. Sometimes life is good, most often it is boring, and sometimes it is bad. Hence the range from Court Advisor to Shopkeeper to Leper.
It's your choice as to what you build.
