This is looking good, Ragnar. Question: who gets to narrate the DEM? I think it should be the player, not the GM, but I couldn't tell from your post. Also, "Deus Ex Machina" is a mouthful. Maybe try "Rescue" or "Call for Help" or something more in-genre.
