HiHo!

Just a short question: In the description of the Pole-Axe it is written that it has techniques similar to "half-swording". Does it mean that you can reduce the range and even increase the damage and the change to hit??

Thx & Have FUN!

I believe that the similar half-swording techniques are already accounted for, but I could be wrong.

The damage is high enough but the range is too long for "many close combat possibilities".... Also it is quite difficult too hit for "half-swording".

The techniques are similar to when you are ALREADY halfswording, its not that you can halfsword with a pole axe. The way you use a pole axe is similar to the way you use a  halfsword.

The description dosen't include puncturing damage which half-swording would allow it to do as most examples are topped with a large spike. I think most people have a misconception of the pole-axe, it's not an axe on a pole, it's about a four foot reinforced haft with an axe/warhammer type head, no longer than a Dopplehander or Claymore. Half-swording and even mass weapon techniques were used, but it was definately used two-handed.

But if you use it with a hand more in the middle or near the axe (half-sword style) wouldn't at least the range change?
