I don't recall that recommendation in the text of Trollbabe, although I could be wrong.

It's not in the text, but I have to agree that it's natural during play. I'll go on record as saying that the best moment of Trollbabe play I've had went like this:
Me (as GM to other player)
: So, this black wolf-like thing runs into you, rolling you over.
Player 2
: Oh! I want my trollbabe to enter this scene.
Me:
Um.. where from? She's elsewhere right now, but she could show up.
Player 2
:
From above.
Movie imagery magic - a character coming from the sky, with no reason as to how she got there.
