While I will shortly be contacting representatives more personally to extend invitations and give details on what we offer, I would also like to use the board to invite companies to join Double Exposure for DEXCON 7, July 14-18, 2004 in East Brunswick, New Jersey.

Double Exposure has a long tradition of supporting lesser-known game publishers, and we would love to have a major Indie presence there. As I've posted before, I have a set of six demo tables all together near the elevators, and if enough Indie/Forge companies can join us they're all yours for the event.

I've very much appreciated reading the thread that Dregg started, on what companies would like to see offered by conventions. I really feel very good about what we offer, based on what I'm reading. I hope many of you will give us the opportunity to make you feel at home at our event.

Rebecca,

My main concern for most of us forgers is the scope of people coming to roleplay. Granted fan tables near the elevators get us the first bit of attention, but the attention has to equal out into players who want to play an RPG. Granted we can take a huge lesson from BW and companies like Kenzer and Co. who set up the melee or Mini Dungeon Delve demos. The Mini Demos at the fan table is very productive. My Experience at the last DE event was great, and my Demo team who supported Deep 7 are still saying that the treatment of us was beyond great.
If a Convention could pre promote those coming via Website or Flyer or something would help as stated in the other thread. Or better yet a Indie Panel, an Indie Guest of Honor, an Indie elecrical light parade would help. This goes for any con though. WGP and I-CON are very forge friendly, and It would be cool to boast that the 3 Major Cons in NY/NJ are the "Indie" Cons. It might even bring more West Coast desiners to the East and then that would kick ass.

I'm still puzzled by how the RPG track went for DREAMATION, believe me. We're usually very RPG-heavy events.

DEXCON is produced differently from the other conventions we run throughout the year. We'll have our program book prepared and sent to our entire mailing list (which is quite hefty) well before the convention in July. All the companies joining us will have blurbs in it for the games they will be demo'ing, and the schedule will be in there as well so that players know what to expect and can sign up well ahead of time. We're also more than happy to work with companies on any promotional events, like parties, and can help offset the costs of such events by supporting them with refreshments.
