So I did the preliminary layout last night for Snowball and Discernment in the NPA. It looks good.
All I need in order to get this ball really rolling is the rest of the art. Where is it, kids?
Post your links to your finished pieces in this thread... Ok, I'd be happy with a sketch.
As far as I know:
Discernment is 90% done (just some graphics to take care of).
I've got the main piece for The Agency, but not the sidebar.
I've seen sketches for WTF?s pieces.
What's up with Pagoda, Cell Gamma, Pretender and Snowball?
It's april, it's time to get this laid out and into reading one last time so we can get it printed for Origins.

Well, as you know, my artist flaked out on me, so I've contacted a couple other artists. So I'm behind, here. I apologize.
I got a VERY rough preliminary sketch in from one of the artists yesterday:

Edit: I've just offered one of the artists extra money for speed. If he takes the incentive, hopefully I'll have something by this weekend.

No love for the quasi-satirical microgame!
I have the frontspiece for Over the Bar finished, and the artist has said that she'll be sending it to you directly, Luke. I'm a little hard up for the sidebar right now, but I have some plans. Look for questions in PM.

Pagoda's about 45% done.

Okay, latest web-style preview:

I've asked him to turn it into a black-and-white TIF, as per the other thread. One more picture I absolutely need, and some more I might just pass on for purposes of speed.

Okay, the latest from my primary artist:
Got the first two pretty much sorted, pending your approval, and also saved, as instructed in the link provided, as black-and-white-only LZW-compressed .TIF files. The 4"x4" one weighs in at around 1.2MB, the 2"x2" one at just over 200KB, both at 1200dpi. I had to increase the resolution, unfortunately, as I was previously working at 300dpi. Hope that's alright.
Is that okay, Luke?

So, I've got the preliminary layout done for Snowball, Discernment and WTF?. I've got The Agency laid in, but I'm waiting on the sidebar art.
I must say, gentlemen, that I sincerely think we have something here. It looks good. And the games are all different, interesting and engaging.
I dare say, I'm excited.
Currently waiting on art from: Pagoda (both pieces), Pretender (sidebar), Agency (sidebar), Cell Gamma (both pieces) and OtB (both pieces).
How's it going?

I hope to have that sidebar by this weekend, like Sundayish.

Another update.
The preliminary layout is done for all contributions to the anthology. Just the RPGs alone are clocking in at 136 pages. Add intros, TOCs and an index (hopefully), and it'll probably be closer to 150 pages.
8.5 x11 perfect bound. Lots of white space. Each piece has, in addition to the signature illustrations provided, has a signature title font, as well.
I'm excited; I think it looks good.
What I'm missing:
The Pretender Border
The Agency Border (actually, we need an artist for this. any recommendations?)
Over the Bar main illustration
Cell Gamma Border
and both pieces for Pagoda.
We're almost half-way there. Get those borders in to me -- they're crucial.
Once we get the art in, I need to build the TOC and title page. Then it's off for another round of copy editing.
Then it's off to the printer! (after we talk about pricing and distribution).

did i mention how important the border/sidebars are? if in case I didn't, let me reiterate: C R U C I A L

Here's a half-size jpeg of Pagoda's logo graphic, in case anyone wants a peak at it. I'm pretty pleased myself. Stole some ideas from the design style of "Jackie Chan Advantures," with their wacky angular buildings and such.

Here's the 300dpi bitmap TIFF. That's the best I've got, because I usually work in 300dpi and wasn't told anything different until rather late in the game.

Let me know if there's anything else you need.

Same artist as the other two. Steve Dismukes. Works at IBM (in England) by day, does art and plays RPGs at night.
More of his art can be found here:
