Welcome!
Welcome everyone to my spiffy Polaris playtest forum, where you can savage the game text to your heart's content, far away from prying eyes that might assume that my god-awful playtest draft is anything like the final game.
Basic rules, in no particular order:
1) Do not be nice to me or the text. Saying what you like is fine, but saying what you don't like is much much better. I'm thinking somewhere between "savage beating of a red-headed stepchild" and "mercy killing" here.
2) Likewise, don't fight out between your opinions on how the game text should go. Just state opinions, give reasons that you think so if you find it necessary to do so, and move on. Opinions, especially conflicting ones, help me. Arguments don't.
3) Be nice to each other. Basic rules of Forge discourse apply. Duh.
4) Please denote whether your criticism is textual (just from reading) or experiential (from actual play.) The reasons for this should be obvious.
5) Have fun.

I'll be pasting up some of my input here so folks can see (it's what I mailed you, with some changes probably), but I wanted to thank you for being very upfront about the nature of advice you wanted on Polaris. It helps, a lot.

Oh, yeah, one other thing --
This forum can also be used as a scheduling / organizational setting for Playtest games -- just be sure to tag the game's location onto your messages. So a message like "[Boston Group] Meeting Location?" is a fine thread. I mention this because I'm hope to be using it for just that in the near future.
