I am updating the Dead Stars Rule Book, into an expanded version called Universal Decay. I am looking for playtesters interested in using these expanded rules to run games, and provide me with feedback on how they work, then test out the changes. In other words: a long-term playtest (the book is set to release in September 2005).

The rules set is loosely based on the WotC SRD mecahnics, the same ones used in D&D. However they have been heavilly altered to reflect realism, and the technical demands of a science-fiction setting. Let me take a moment to point out tha this is a HARD SCIENCE fiction setting! No "warp drives", "deflector shields" or any other science-fantasy element. Well, except for psionics, and then only because theya re such a ehavy part of the genre that it is hard to imagine a Sci-Fi game without them, plus they help with problems creating a feasible FTL system.

So if you are interested, please e-mail me at: Strutinan@hotmail.com, and we can get the legal aspects out of the way. Once that is done I will provide you with access to the files, and your name on the role of official playtesters. You will also be e-mailed a link for the PDF of Universal Decay when it is formally released.

Thank you for your interrest.
