Rapid POD is a new Print on Demand that guarantees the quality of a traditional printing in short runs from 1 to 1,000. Unlike other POD companies, we have the newest and best technology boasting print quality of 4800x1200dpi.
For just 2¢ a black and white page and $1 for a color cover, we can put a 124-page book in your hand for just $3.48 + shipping. And no one will never know it was printed one at a time!
But lets be honest, Rapid POD is not for everyone. But here are some ways it can work with a company...
1. To decrease risk˜ If your orders are over 1,000 go ahead and print with your traditional printer and then allow RapidPOD to do all follow-up printing.
2. For low pre-orders˜ If your preorders come in below 1000 units, use us to save on money. It takes 500 to 1000 units printed to break even at a traditional printer, just keep us in mind if things go wrong.
3. Never worry about your books making a convention again˜ While your book is in China Printing, we can print just 100 for that pesky con next week!!!
4. If you‚re a PDF company˜ Lets us print your books and get it into distribution! What a great way to get extra money off an existing product!
5. If you have the rights to out-of-print books˜ Let us help you put them back into print!
6. ART BOOKS˜ Finally print on demand at 4800x1200dpi ˆ which means rich blacks and superior halftones!!! Going to any Comic Con...we can do sketchbooks, calendars, postcards and other cool merchandising stuff.
7. Hardback Books˜ Yes we do them, but they are still a tad bit expensive for distribution, BUT definitely something you can produce for on-line or convention sales. $6 for the cover and 2¢ aB&W page.

Excuse me, guys, but Ken has clearly used this space as an advertising board, and this thread does not represent a discussion - it's therefore closed. You'll have to follow up on it on your own, or start a new thread which is actually about something.
Ken Whitman has been involved in publishing role-playing games since the 1980s and I encourage you to take specific questions directly to him. What people have "heard" or otherwise speculate about isn't of interest here.
